JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to take ownership of quality across our product suite, combining strong manual testing expertise with hands-on test automation. This is a hybrid QA role: you will design and execute manual test strategies for complex, business-critical workflows while also building and maintaining automated test frameworks to increase coverage and release confidence. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other QA team members to ensure our platforms are reliable, secure, and easy to use.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and execute manual test plans and test cases for new features and regression cycles across web and API layers
- Build, maintain, and extend automated test suites (UI, API, and/or integration level) to reduce manual regression effort and increase release velocity
- Define and own the overall QA strategy for assigned products, balancing manual exploratory testing with automation coverage
- Identify, document, and track defects clearly, working closely with developers to reproduce, prioritize, and verify fixes
- Review requirements and user stories early in the sprint cycle to flag gaps, edge cases, and testability concerns
- Collaborate with DevOps/engineering to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform API testing (e.g., Postman, REST-assured, or similar) alongside UI-level testing
- Mentor junior QA team members and help establish QA best practices, standards, and documentation
- Contribute to test data management, environment setup, and release sign-off processes
- Monitor production issues where relevant and help drive root-cause analysis from a quality perspective
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on QA experience, with a strong mix of manual and automated testing
- Proven experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
- Solid experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST-assured, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices
- Experience writing clear, structured test plans, test cases, and bug reports
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend verification
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and version control (Git)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing enterprise SaaS products, ERP, or workflow/leave-management systems
- Experience with performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6)
- Exposure to test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Xray)
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification
- Prior experience mentoring or leading a small QA team
